Horseback Riding & Wine Tasting
Ride through forest and fields
Satisfy the outdoorsman and the foodie in your group with a ride in the woods followed by a premium wine tasting and healthy, organic lunch. This tour, designed for first-time equestrians and seasoned riders alike, will start at our stables as you get fitted with your riding equipment. After meeting your horse (and making friends by giving her a carrot or two), your guide will give you a brief lesson on how to walk, turn and stop your steed before you take off into the woods. Strolling under overhanging branches and splashing through cold creeks, let your mount do the work as you gaze at the blue jays flying above and listen to the sound of the brook babbling below.
Riding all morning can work up an appetite! After dismounting, your guide will escort your group to a local winery and award-winning orchard where you will be treated to appetizers of farm-fresh apples and slivers of delectable pears, along with delicious wines to complement them both. Lunch, prepared with fresh, local ingredients by Culinary Institute of America-trained chefs, will follow, with wines paired specifically for your group by the winery’s sommelier. Appetites satiated and senses heightened, this day will create a shared experience that your group won’t soon forget.
