While thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail I stopped in an outfitter in Erwin, Tennessee and had a conversation that went something like this: Me:
How much are these insoles? Outfitter:
40 dollars. Me:
Really? That's crazy. I'm not paying that much for insoles. Outfitter:
Well, it may seem like a lot but I promise that you'll still have these when you reach Maine...
Being frugal I decided not to purchase Superfeet at the time but upon reaching the wonderful state of Virginia I decided to make an investment in my future. I purchased a pair of Superfeet that now have well over 2,000 miles on them and they don't even look used or smell at all.
Superfeet are premium insoles that come in a variety of options to match the form of your fit and your activity. The patented designs provide comfort, stability and support that can greatly reduce foot fatigue especially on some of our rockier trips such as Indian Head Mountain. Tip -
Superfeet have less cushioning than the typical insole so take it easy and integrate them gradually. Submitted by Discover Outdoors guide and expert gear reviewer Pete Relyea.
