Justine Horton

Guide
Wilderness First Responder

Born and raised in New York City, Justine has spent all the weekends and summers of her life exploring the woods and mountains of the Northeast. Justine was first introduced to backpacking while at a summer camp in the Catskills, and immediately fell in love with the idea of carrying everything you need to survive on your back and going out to seek adventure. Since her first hiking and camping forays in Upstate New York, Justine has gone on to backpack throughout the Northeast, the West Coast, Alaska, New Zealand, Myanmar, and Iceland. Most recently, Justine completed a thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, a 2,650 mile trail that runs from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon, and Washington. When she's not hiking, Justine loves to run, climb, snowboard, and take long subway rides during which she can finish whatever book she's currently reading. Justine is thrilled to share her love of the outdoors with her fellow New Yorkers, and to help them explore their greater backyard.
