Your Day

No question about it, this 12 mile adventure paddles the most scenic section of the Hudson River. Our tour starts in Cornwall on Hudson and heads south under the shadow of Storm King Mountain. This section of the Hudson Highlands offers spectacular views of the Hudson Highlands coming right down to the river’s edge. Guides will lead you across the river to Little Stony Point as we make our way down to Cold Spring. After taking a short break at Fondry Cove, we will then continue on towards West Point, home of the United States Military Academy and the deepest part of the Hudson River at 216 feet. Great views of the academy are seen as we continue south past Constitution Island. In the distance, Anthony’s Nose will appear on our left, Bear Mountain on our right and the Bear Mountain Bridge in the center. Our journey will eventually bring us to the Bear Mountain Bridge and the mouth of Popolopen Creek and our take out location.

Perfect for: Intermediate paddlers, fit adventurers looking for a full day

Drive to Meet

Have your own transportation? Select the "drive to meet" option at check out. You'll receive meeting location and time a few days before your trip. Please email [email protected] with any questions.

Weather conditions can be quite different from the city in the mountainous regions we visit. Temperatures can be quite cooler as we head north or to higher elevations. Keep your eyes out for an email from our team a few days in advance of your trip. That email will provide updated weather conditions and will alert you to anything additional you should put in your pack to prepare. We head outside in any weather, as long as we know it's safe, and we don't let a little rain or wind ruin a chance for an adventure. You can contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions about preparing for trail conditions.
